It had been far too long since Samwell had spent any time with Jon, and he found that he missed him. So one fine cold morning after a walk, Sam was returning to the castle when he spotted Jon, out on business of his own.

A grin split his face and he waved cheerfully. "Jon! Hello! Have you got time for a chat?"

Ever since his sorting, Samwell had been dividing his time between his bedroom in Hufflepuff, the Hogwarts library, and the Great Hall.
